Florence Sights, Sounds and Hotels

The Piazza della Signoria in Florence is centuries old and is encircled by buildings and sculptures as old and significant. Cellini’s statue of Perseus and Giambologna’s Rape of a Sabine are two of the magnificent sculptures grouped around the loggia, and a copy of Michaelangelo’s brilliant David guards the Palazzo Vecchio, which has been the town hall of Florence since 1322. The extravagantly refurbished interior of the Palazzo displays the talents of Vasari, and the distinctive Palazzo’s tower is recognised world wide as a symbol of Florence.

Florence's Piazza della Signoria is one of the exceedingly interesting and attractive sites and sounds where you can absorb much of Florence history. There are many fine Florence hotels where you can enjoy stay in the city.
