In Istanbul near the Topkapi Sarayi (Topkapi Palace) stands the Pavilion of Holy Relics. Sacred to Muslims, the Pavilion contains an assortment of relics of the prophet Muhammad. These include his original seal, a lock of his hair, a tooth, and a letter written by his hand. In an adjacent room the swords of the four caliphs can be viewed.
